• Levine Middle College High School (LMCHS) is an honors magnet program offered by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools that consists of grades 11-13.  We are located on the Levine Campus of Central Piedmont Community College in Matthews, NC.  Students have the opportunity to earn college credit during their junior and senior years as well as participate in an additional grade 13 year (if needed) to finish any course requirements to earn an Associates Degree.

    Choice Lottery

    *** The School Choice lottery for the 2025-2026 school year will run November 18, 2024 - December 20, 2024. Notification results for those who participated will be available mid to late January.  Look for your letter in the mail!  If you missed this year's lottery, the Reassignment/Transfer process begins March 15, 2025.

    Reassignment & Transfer Period

    Request for Reassignment Period for the district:  March 15, 2025 - April 15, 2025.  

    *Students brand new or re-enrolling to the district after this date will have ten business days after enrolling to submit a request for reassignment for the 2025-2026 school year.  An application does not guarantee approval. 

    Request for Transfer Period for the district in order to receive an answer by the start of school:  March 15, 2025 - April 15, 2025

    * Middle Colleges have an earlier Request for Transfer deadline than traditional schools because of our earlier start date.
